IRONWOOD LAUNCHES ARROWS CIDER

Ironwood Cider has partnered with the Toronto Arrows for the February release of their Match Day Series. The Toronto Arrows Matchday Series brings passionate rugby fans and the craft beverage industry together in celebration of the sport.  The program was created from a desire to celebrate together, and to bring a key component of the matchday experience to rugby fans - enjoying high-quality, craft beer and cider.

Beginning in October 2020, The Toronto Arrows have partnered with craft breweries and cideries from the GTA and other regions across Ontario to create a community-focused range of rotating, co-branded beverages. “Working collaboratively with our province’s craft breweries and cideries to create the Matchday Series has been a great experience,” said Rahul Srinivasan, Toronto Arrows Director of Partnerships. “We have been very focused on the theme of engaging with communities: the rugby community, the craft beer and cider community, and the community-focused organizations that we will be supporting as a result of the Matchday Series. We’re excited to see the Matchday Series in action and for us to bring a key part of the matchday experience back to our fans.”

Featured producers rotate monthly with Ironwood’s Arrows cider as their February release.

"Ironwood is all about engaging in meaningful projects within the community. We're excited to partner with the Toronto Arrows as part of this great initiative. We've created a unique product that we feel that fans will really enjoy, and we look forward to raising a pint of Arrows in celebration of the sport and hopefully from the sidelines once we can be at games in person again," said Ironwood owner Richard Liu.

Arrows is a blueberry-hopped cider, bursting with hop aromas and character with big berry flavours. Cider is available for purchase on the Ironwood online store with multiple shipping and pickup options. At the conclusion of the program, The Toronto Arrows will be contributing a portion of each Matchday Series beverage sale to community-focused rugby and sports organizations.

Looking for the perfect mulled wine recipe to warm you up after a full day spent outdoors? Look no further. We have put together the Mulled Wine Trio Pack - simply heat up, add some spice and enjoy. PS keep reading to learn our SECRET to the PERFECT mulled wine.

Spices are essential for mulled wine. They're really what give you that true mulled wine flavour. There are a bunch of spices you can use (we've listed all below). However, since the wines in our mulled pack already have some additional flavours, the recipe will still taste great even if you stick to the basics- like cinnamon and cloves. Once you pick which spices you'll use, combine them in your pot or carafe.

The next step is to heat up the wine. You want to be careful with this step since you DO NOT want the wine to boil. If you boil it, all of the alcohol will evaporate (which is definitely not the goal here). So how do you heat it up? You can heat it on the stove or in the microwave if you make sure to watch it closely. But our SECRET TIP for making the perfect mulled wine is using the carafe from your coffee maker. Don't put it through the coffee maker, just combine your ingredients in the carafe and turn the machine on. After about 20 minutes your wine should reach the perfect temperature and will NEVER boil. This is also a great hack to have your mulled wine ready and waiting for you when you come inside.
